Artisan / Fiber Art, Crafter

My love of sewing goes back to my very early years when I made clothes for my dolls. I worked at Simplicty Pattern Company in the 70’s and sewed most of my personal wardrobe.  In recent years, I make American Girl doll clothes, crazy quilted tote bags, quilts for Project Linus, soft dolls for children and artistic dolls that range from heavily beaded mermaids to gypsy fortune tellers.  So, to paraphrase one of my favorite artists:  If you take away my sewing machine, I’ll knit, if you take away my knitting needles or crochet hook, I’ll go to my bead stash,  if you take away my beads, I’ll create with polymer clay and if you take away my polymer clay, I’ll refinish furniture.  It’s all my passion.
