Hello Bergen Artists,
The Division of Cultural & Historic Affairs has been asked to organize an art exhibit at the Bergen County Zoo in Van Saun Park, Paramus. Sat., May 21st with a rain date of Sun., May 22nd.
It should be a fun one… the theme is wildlife and nature (pets are included too).
Bergen County Zoological Park Art Exhibit!
1st Annual Alfred Thomas Wildlife Art Show
Exhibit Date: Sat. May 21, 2022 (Rain Date: Sun. May 22)
Exhibit Time: 10 am – 3 pm (Winners announced at 2:30 pm)
Set-up Time: 8 am – 10 am
Break-down: 3 pm (artwork must be removed from the Zoo by 4 pm)
Theme: nature/wildlife (two-dimensional artwork only)
Location: Outdoors at the Bergen County Zoo, Van Saun Park, 216 Forest Ave., Paramus
Exhibit Space: one panel per exhibitor; size to be determined
Prizes: Overall 1st Place; 2nd Place; 3rd Place; Honorable Mention; Judges will choose winning pieces individually, not by body of work; prizes still to be determined
Some details…
- Artist must be a Bergen County resident and 17 yrs. or older
- Must be available to hang artwork between 8 am-10 am and take down at 3 pm
- Artwork must be clearly labeled with name/title/medium/website or email for the public to contact if interested in selling; All work must remain up for duration of the show; no sales are permitted within the zoo
- Frames must be wired to hang; exhibitor must bring “S” hooks to hang artwork
- Complete and email this form back to glucente@co.bergen.nj.us; you will receive a confirmation email with more details
- It’s not permissible for exhibitors to bring chairs, you may come and go from the Zoo
