Leonia Chamber Musicians will celebrate \’Romance for Valentine’s Day\’ with guest Wonjung Kim, Soprano. Ms. Kim will perform And This is My Beloved from the Broadway musical Kismet and the Korean love song Dream by Kim, Sung Tae. Alexander Borodinâ’s romantic String Quartet No. 2 will be featured, which includes the famous Nocturne that was the inspiration of the Kismet song and This is My Beloved adopted by Robert Wright and George Forrest. Also on the program is the heartfelt Andante by African American composer Florence Price, Bess You is My Woman Now by George Gershwin. and Argentinian Alberto Ginastera’s Impressions de la Puna for flute and string quartet. The flute melodies evoke lost love and exuberant dance rhythms of finding love. Members Theresa Norris, Flute; Roy Lewis and Janey Choi, violin; Maggie Speier, viola; and Daryl Goldberg, Cello will perform.
Admission is $25 Adults, students free.
