Kathleen Clark’s plays, Southern Comforts and Secrets of a Soccer Mom, were produced off-Broadway and are presented widely throughout the US and Canada. Prior to the New York production at Primary Stages, Southern Comforts was produced at the Coconut Grove Playhouse with Hal Holbrook and Dixie Carter. Her new play, The Seeing Place, will have readings in Montclair and New York City on May 6 and 7, respectively. Her play, Awilda, a semifinalist for the Eugene O’Neill National Playwrights Conference, had a summer reading at the Berkshire Theatre Festival, directed by Jayne Atkinson. Her comedy, In The Mood, was produced at the Berkshire Theatre Festival. Ms. Clark was a finalist for the Susan Smith Blackburn Prize and has twice been selected to attend the Eugene O’Neill National Playwrights Conference with her plays, Southern Comforts and Banner. Let’s Live A Little was produced at Tucson’s Invisible Theatre in April, 2017. A Letter To My Children was part of the Primary Stages ‘Morning in America’ presentation at the Cherry Lane in NYC.
