In 1980 I performed at the Vivian Beaumont Theatre at Lincoln Center in New York City with jazz trumpet legend Dizzy Gillespie with the McDonalds All Star Tri-State big band. This performance on national television was part of the MERV GRIFFIN show. This experience inspired me to continue studying music and subsequently led to obtaining a masters degree in saxophone performance from Manhattan School of Music.
